Ostbelgien Classic: A winter rally is very special!

Dear lovers of classic cars and fans of vintage car rallies,

The Ostbelgien Classic is not a common uniformity rally. When the first engines will be revving up at the end of November and the old treasures in the heart of Europe will be speeding an entire weekend through four countries, it is going to be an event unheard of in Eastern Belgium.

This is not least so amazing because winter rallies tends to be the exception rather than the rule. Formerly, when I was much more active in motor sports than now, I used to take advantage of the rally-free winters to really enjoy uniformity rallies. Thus, I participated in a number of famous winter rallies throughout the whole of Europe. In doing so, I noticed that the particularly persistent motor sport racers were active in the cold winter months. Of course, I find that really appealing!

However, that is not the only reason why we are organising the Ostbelgien Classic for the first time from 29 November to 1 December and thus in mid-winter. The fact that Eastern Belgium reveals a very special side at that time, and that the summer is anyway awash with numerous rally events, also contributed to this decision.

The winter is coming!
